I know I've been MIA for the last few weeks, but lots has been going on the the Stanley Household with my Dad visiting from overseas and the ensuing partying....have had no time for my favourite hobby :) But when I saw this week's make it monday challenge, i knew I had to participate since it reminded me of a technique that I've been dying to try out since I saw it here. Yes, once again the AMAAAAAAAAAYYYZZZZZIIIINNNNGGG Betsy Veldman has inspired me. Tell ya, I just love everything that lady makes. Am doing an online card class at the moment, and part of the reason I signed up was because I knew Betsy was going to be one of the guest designers!
Betsy showcases Bokeh-Inspired stamping which follows the photographic technique of using out of focus lighting in the background to create gorgeous effects. Here are a few of my favourite examples:
If you click on the link to Besty's blog post, you can see the wonderful cards she's made inspired by bokeh.
So, here is my card- with an inked background and 'Bokeh' inspired stamping!
I really enjoyed seeing this card come together, and it was so much fun to make! There's something real satisfying about knowing that that main panel of cardstock started out white and now it's completely transformed :)
Hope you likey!
